Technical Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Leadership:

Lead the Technical/Valuation function across all geographies of operations.

Design and implement property assessment frameworks tailored to the Near Prime segment.

Define standards, processes, and controls to ensure quality and consistency in property valuations.

Build and manage a team of technical officers, both in-house and empaneled external valuers.

Technical & Operational:

Review and approve technical valuation reports for home loans

Analyze market trends, legal parameters, and construction risks to determine accurate property values.

Define LTV norms, minimum construction quality benchmarks, and other risk triggers from a technical perspective.

Conduct field visits for high-value or suspicious cases and support underwriting with real estate insights.

Periodically review and empanel third-party valuers; conduct audits and training as needed.

Compliance & Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with internal credit policy, regulatory requirements (RBI/NHB), and industry best practices.

Identify and mitigate valuation-related risks through data analytics, early warning signals, and process improvements.

Work closely with Risk and Credit teams to align technical assessment with overall risk appetite.

Stakeholder Management:

Liaise with external valuers, builders, legal consultants, and internal stakeholders (Sales, Credit, Risk, Operations).

Provide training and guidance to credit and sales teams on red flags in property valuation and documentation.
