Technical Manager

As a Technical Manager at the University of Southampton's Centre for Learning Anatomical Sciences (CLAS), you will play a crucial role in providing a high-quality student experience in human anatomy teaching. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading and managing the Anatomical Sciences Laboratory to ensure the delivery of anatomy teaching through prosected specimens created in-house. - Overseeing the bequeathal program in compliance with the Human Tissue Act (HTA) 2004 and working closely with the Designated Individual of the HTA. - Directly reporting to the Director of the Centre for Learning Anatomical Sciences and being responsible for a team of 3 technical staff. - Managing external and internal enterprise activities within the Centre. To be successful in this role, you should have: - A degree in Anatomy or Science or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in a related field. - Experience working at a senior level in a human anatomy morbid facility and managing junior staff. - A solid understanding of the Human Tissue Act and preferably experience working in a medical school environment.
