Technical & Functional Consultant- NAV/BC

Job Summary:

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central / NAV Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the

  end-to-end implementation

  cycle of

  Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Business Central (SaaS & On-Premise)

  .
• Perform

  requirement gathering, functional analysis, and technical design

  for ERP implementations and upgrades.

• Develop and customize

  objects such as tables, pages, reports, and codeunits using

  AL, C/AL, and Visual Studio Code

  .
• Execute

  NAV to Business Central upgrades

  , including

  data migration

  ,

  RapidStart configuration

  , and

  refactoring customizations

  to align with SaaS standards.
• Configure

  user roles, permissions, and access control

  to ensure data security and compliance.
• Design and develop

  MIS (Management Information System) reports

  , including stock valuation, warehouse summaries, and purchase/sales reports.
• Integrate

  third-party applications

  using

  REST APIs and Web Services

  for business automation.
• Conduct

  UAT sessions, end-user training, and post-go-live support

  , ensuring smooth transition and user adoption.
• Prepare detailed

  technical documentation

  , upgrade scripts, and process guides.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and enhance system performance based on evolving business needs.
  

Experience:

- 2-5 years (relevant experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV/BC)

Technical Skills Required:

• ERP Platforms:

  Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013/2018, Business Central (SaaS)

• Languages:

  AL, C/AL, C#, SQL

• Databases:

  SQL Server, SSRS

• Integrations:

  REST API, Web Services, Data Migration

• Tools:

  Visual Studio Code, PowerShell, RapidStart, Jet Reports

• Customization:

  Reports, Pages, Tables, Codeunits, File Handling (BC Limits)

• Other Skills:

  Problem Solving, Agile Methodologies, Documentation, Client Communication

Functional Skills:

• Strong understanding of

  inventory, procurement, sales, purchase, and warehouse management

  modules.
• Experience in

  multi-location retail or trading environments

  .
• Knowledge of

  UAT, user roles setup, and business process mapping

  .
• Ability to bridge technical and business teams effectively.
  

Educational Qualification:

• BE/B.Tech/ BCA/ B.SC (Computer)
