Technical Design Expert ( Hospitality & Workspace Interiors)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Detailed Design & Execution: Transform conceptual interiors into

refined, buildable environments through richly detailed drawings and

documentationfrom FF&E interfaces to bespoke joinery, lighting

transitions, and finishing details. 

• Add the XFactor in Detailing: Go beyond standard technical layouts by

introducing innovative detailing elementsjunction treatments, bespoke

material interfaces, integrated lighting revealsthat elevate craftsmanship

and guest experience.

• Produce High-Fidelity Construction Documents: Generate accurate

Revit/AutoCAD documentation, including sections, elevations, detail

drawings, schedules, and specifications, ensuring seamless handoff to

contractors and fabricators. 

• Collaborate Across Disciplines: Coordinate with architects, structural and

MEP engineers, FF&E teams, fabricators, and contractors to preserve

design intent throughout detailing and construction .

• Ensure Technical Feasibility: Validate detailing against site conditions,

production methods, durability, accessibility, sustainability standards, and

budget constraints.

• Mentor and Lead: Guide and elevate the capabilities of junior/intermediate

designers in detailing and documentation; set quality benchmarks and

review standards.

• Quality Assurance & Construction Oversight: Review shop drawings,

submittals, finish mock-ups, and oversee site roll-out to ensure fidelity to

your detailing vision.

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of hands-on experience in technical design and documentation

for hospitality and workplace interiors, with a portfolio showcasing

detailed project execution. 

• Bachelors or Master’s in Interior Design, Interior Architecture,

or Architecture.

• Advanced expertise in Revit (essential), AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, and

the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

• Deep knowledge of FF&E detailing, finishes, lighting integration, custom

millwork, materials science, and specification writing. 

• Strong track record working on luxury hospitality (hotels, resorts,

restaurants) and high-end workplace interiors.

• Exceptional visual and spatial sensibility to create detailing that sets projects

apart.

• Excellent leadership, mentoring, and client-facing communication skills.

• Familiarity with international design codes, accessibility, and sustainability

certifications (NCIDQ, LEED AP, WELL preferred).

Preferred Assets

• A history of working on brand-defining luxury interiors, with inventive

detailing that enhances guest perception.

• Experience translating design narratives into technically refined interiors that

showcase craftsmanship.

• Fluency across multiple design tools including 3ds

Max, Enscape, Bluebeam, or VRay for presentation and documentation

quality. 

• Evidence of integrating sustainability, wellbeing, or smart design

technologies in the built environment.
