Job Description

1. Job Overview

The Technical Customer Coordinator is responsible for managing communication and coordination with existing customers, understanding their technical requirements, and ensuring smooth processing of their orders from inquiry to dispatch.
This is not a sales or target-based role. It focuses on customer relationship management, technical understanding, documentation, and internal coordination.

2. Core Responsibilities

A. Customer Coordination

  • Act as the single point of contact for assigned customers.
  • Collect technical requirements, drawings, and PO details.
  • Communicate order status, clarifications, timelines, and dispatch updates.
  • Coordinate technical discussions with Design, Quality, and Production teams.
  • Ensure customers receive timely and accurate information.

B. Technical Understanding & Documentation

  • Read and understand mechanical drawings, fabrication concepts, and BOMs.
  • Work with the design team to clarify feasibility and technical specifications.
  • Share correct revisions and documents with internal teams.
  • Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, technical approvals, and emails.

C. Order Management

  • Create Sales Orders in ERP and handover to the Planning Engineer.
  • Track progress of each order until dispatch.
  • Ensure customer commitments are met as planned.

D. Cross-Department Coordination

  • Coordinate with:
  • Planning for production schedules
  • Design for drawings & nesting
  • Store for dispatch readiness
  • Production for execution status
  • Quality for inspections and approvals
  • Identify bottlenecks and help resolve issues quickly.

E. After-Sales Support

  • Collect feedback from customers.
  • Handle minor complaints by coordinating internally.
  • Maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.

3. Required Qualifications

  • B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (must).
  • 2+ years of experience in fabrication, sheet metal, manufacturing, or technical coordination.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings & understand fabrication processes.
  • Good communication skills in English, Hindi and Gujarati.
  • Basic understanding of ERP systems (training will be provided).
  • Strong documentation and follow-up skills.

4. Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of sheet-metal manufacturing processes (Laser Cutting, Bending, Assembly, Welding, Powder Coating).
  • Understanding of GA drawings, BOM, material specifications, and tolerance concepts.
  • Customer handling experience (backend, not sales).
  • Proactive attitude and problem-solving ability.
  • Organized and detail-oriented work approach.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹600,000.00 per year
