Technical Consultant

As a Technical Consultant working with August Infotech in Gurgaon, your role will involve working closely with Delivery Managers, System/Business Analysts, and other subject matter experts to understand requirements and design solutions. You will be responsible for producing/reviewing technical specifications, unit test cases, and developing standards and best practices for data maintenance, reconciliation, and exception management. Your technical leadership skills will be essential in proposing solutions, estimating projects, and guiding/mentoring junior team members in developing solutions on the GFDR platform. Key Responsibilities: - Work with various stakeholders to understand requirements and design solutions - Assist in effort estimation for new projects/proposals - Produce/Review Technical specifications and unit test cases - Develop and implement standards, procedures, and best practices for data maintenance - Demonstrate technical leadership and mentor junior team members - Propose solutions, estimate projects, and guide team members in building solutions on the GFDR platform Qualifications Required: - 10-12 years of experience in technical leadership in data warehousing and Business Intelligence areas - Strong proficiency in Oracle SQL/PLSQL and Stored Procedures - Experience with Source Control Tools, preferably Clear Case - Understanding of Data Warehouse, Datamart, and ODS concepts - Proficiency in UNIX and PERL scripting - Familiarity with ETL tools such as Informatica Power Centre - Experience with job scheduling tools like Control-M - Strong knowledge of data modelling, normalisation, and performance optimization techniques - Exposure to fund accounting concepts/systems and master data management is desirable - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams Please note that an educational background in B.E/B.Tech is required for this position.
