Technical Consultant, Data Center-Execution

Role & responsibilities

Design Review & Validation:
- Lead detailed design reviews for data center EPC projects, including electrical, mechanical, and civil systems.- Validate engineering calculations, equipment selections, and system configurations.- Ensure designs comply with project specifications, international standards (TIA-942, Uptime Institute, ASHRAE), and local codes.- Identify design risks and propose mitigation strategies to project teams.- Coordinate design interfaces between multiple disciplines and contractors.Bidding Support - Pricing & Resource Estimation:- Provide execution-based inputs for accurate cost estimation during the bidding phase.- Develop detailed resource plans including manpower, equipment, and material requirements based on project scope.- Estimate labor hours, productivity rates, and crew compositions for installation and commissioning activities.- Review and validate Bills of Quantities (BoQs) from an execution perspective, identifying gaps or underestimations.- Contribute to risk-adjusted pricing by identifying potential execution challenges and associated contingencies.- Support value engineering initiatives by proposing cost-effective alternatives based on field experience.- Provide realistic schedule inputs and milestone durations based on actual execution benchmarks.- Collaborate with bidding teams to develop competitive yet achievable technical and commercial proposals.
