Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience as an Application Architect or Solution Architect.
• Expert level proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem, with some proficiency in JavaScript-based UI frameworks (Angular preferred) and SQL Server.
• Hands-on experience in Azure cloud resource selection, provisioning, and configuration/management, including:
• Azure App Services/ Function Apps
• Azure API Management
• Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and Blob Storage
• Azure Service Bus and Event Grid
• Strong understanding of cloud design patterns and software architecture principles, including:
• Microservices architecture
• Event-driven/serverless architectures
• RESTful/HTTP API design and integration
• Design patterns and best practices
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD, pipeline management, and release automation with knowledge of:
• Azure DevOps pipelines
• Infrastructure as Code
• Git and version control strategies
• Experience implementing security controls, including:
• Role-based access controls
• Secure coding practices
• Identity and access management (Azure AD, OAuth2, OpenID Connect)
• Experience with AI-enabled application development, and use of generative AI tools for coding assistance (GitHub Copilot).
• Ability to review software solutions for architectural soundness, adherence to design patterns, code quality, and security considerations.
• Excellent ability to explain complex architectural concepts through diagrams, written documentation, and verbal discussions.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience in the US mortgage or financial services software industry.
• Basic proficiency in Python a plus.
