Role Description

We are looking for a Technical Application Engineer with strong knowledge of conveyor systems and conveyor belts to join our team in Gurgaon. The Technical Application Engineer - Conveyor Belts will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting issues and testing applications. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Gurugram. The role will involve collaborating with customers to address their needs and ensuring the technical reliability and functionality of conveyor belt systems.

You will act as the technical bridge between customers, sales, and production — understanding site requirements, recommending the right belt solutions, resolving field issues, and supporting key clients in cement, steel, and heavy industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer applications and operating conditions to recommend suitable belt grades (M-24, HR, OR, FR, etc.) and constructions (EP / steel cord / sidewall / cleated).
• Prepare detailed technical proposals, drawings, and datasheets for quotations.
• Troubleshoot belt performance issues — tracking, wear, splice failures, pulley alignment, and tension problems.
• Conduct site visits for inspection, installation supervision, and failure analysis.
• Coordinate with Sales, QA, and Production teams to ensure correct belt selection and specifications.
• Support customers with technical presentations, after-sales service, and preventive maintenance advice.
• Stay updated with relevant standards (ISO, DIN, CEMA, BIS) and product developments.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Technical Support and Troubleshooting abilities to resolve issues effectively
• Customer Service skills to address client needs and deliver prompt solutions
• Experience in Testing conveyor systems and components
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Previous experience in conveyor belts or material handling systems is a plus
• B.E. / B.Tech. (Mechanical / Industrial / Materials / Mining) or equivalent diploma with relevant field experience.
• Minimum 3–8 years of experience in conveyor systems, preferably in cement, steel, or mining sectors.
• Strong knowledge of belt construction, selection criteria, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience in field service / application engineering.
• Good communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites across India.

Preffered Skills

• Understanding of belt splicing methods, pulley design, and material handling layouts.
• Experience with rubber products or industrial belts manufacturing.
• Familiarity with belt calculation tools and international standards.
• Customer-oriented mindset with problem-solving approach.
