Job Description

Job Title Tech Guru - AICTE Idea Lab Location Coimbatore, Tamilnadu Required Number 3 Qualification

B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (preferably in EEE, ECE, CSE, Mechatronics, or allied disciplines).
Higher qualifications or certifications in relevant technical domains are desirable.

Job description

Serve as the chief technical mentor and guide for all IDEA Lab activities.
Provide hands-on training and mentoring to students and faculty in areas such as:

Product Design and Development o Rapid Prototyping (3D Printing, CNC, Laser Cutting, Coil Winding etc.)
Embedded Systems, IoT, Robotics, and Automation
Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science
PCB Design, Fabrication, and Testing

Guide project teams from ideation to proof-of-concept and prototype development.
Manage lab equipment, ensure safety protocols, and maintain lab operational efficiency.
Organize workshops, hackathons, innovation challenges, and outreach programs.
Assist in preparing project documentation, progress reports, and showcase outcomes for funding agencies and stakeholders.
Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and encourage startup culture.

Experience

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in innovation labs, R&D centers, or product development roles.
Candidates with proven experience in mentoring student teams, startups, or running maker spaces will be preferred

Technical Skills

Proficiency in CAD design and simulation tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360)
Programming in Python, C/C++, or MATLAB o Hands-on experience with microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.)
Familiarity with AI/ML tools, hardware interfacing, and sensors
3D Printing, Laser Cutting, and Electronics Fabrication tools

Soft Skills

Strong mentoring and communication skills
Innovation-driven mindset
Ability to coordinate with academic and industrial stakeholders
