Job Description

You will be joining Adani Group, a diversified organisation in India with a presence in 10 publicly traded companies. The expertise extends to multimodal transport solutions, customs clearance, port security, and environmental sustainability, solidifying the company's position as a significant player in global trade and logistics. As the Head of Section - Safety (HOS), your primary responsibility will be to spearhead health and safety initiatives throughout the business unit. Your role entails ensuring compliance with safety regulations, fostering a proactive safety culture, and developing safety strategies to enhance overall safety performance. Collaborating with corporate, local leaders, and employees, you will work towards reducing incident severity, promoting safety awareness, and driving continuous improvement in safety practices. Your key responsibilities will include implementing a safety-oriented strategy, developing health and safety objectives, conducting incident investigations, ensuring regulatory compliance, providing safety training, evaluating emergency response preparedness, monitoring safety performance, and engaging in safety awareness programs. Additionally, you will be expected to keep abreast of digital advancements, mentor team members, and collaborate with key stakeholders both internally and externally. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field, with a preference for a Master's Degree. You should have a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in safety management within industrial environments, such as ports, oil & gas, or manufacturing, demonstrating expertise in safety policy development, risk assessments, and team management.,
