Job Description

As an experienced professional with 8-10 years PQE, you will be responsible for the following key responsibilities: - Reviewing and drafting Engagement Letters. - Leading contract reviews, negotiations, and finalizing contracts for execution. - Ensuring that contractual terms are aligned with Blackstones legal and commercial positions. - Maintaining and managing a centralized repository of precedent documents and templates. - Completing accurate KYC reviews in a timely manner for potential counterparties. - Performing KYC screening and sharing recommendations by reviewing counterparty information using external screening tools. - Ensuring quality assurance and accuracy in all deliverables. - Overseeing the implementation of quality systems and standards in projects. - Developing SOPs, guidelines, checklists, quality manuals, and training materials. Desired Skills & Competencies: - Candidates should have at least 8-10 years of private practice and/or in-house experience leading/supporting high volumes of commercial contract reviews and negotiations. - Candidates should be willing and looking to consolidate and develop skills in a fast-paced and result-driven environment. Technical Skills: - Solid knowledge of commercial contracts, MSAs, SoWs, and end-to-end contract lifecycle, including the ability to draft to a very high standard in English and to carry out negotiations where necessary over both email and telephone. - Ability to quickly understand precedent documents and to digest Blackstone's desired legal positions. - Ability to understand what is a must-have versus what is a nice-to-have in a drafting context, always taking into account the engagement in question. - Ability to work independently (including making decisions where appropriate) and be responsible for legal products. - Engage with external counsel, Blackstone deal teams, Revantage, and portfolio companies to take instructions on commercial matters and to advise on the significance of legal drafting. - Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support decision-making, delivery/governance related discussions. Functional Skills: - Excellent written and oral communication in English. - Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize workflow and manage multiple priorities to ensure that instructions aren't missed, and timelines are adhered to. - Proficiency in using MS Office Suite. - Experience in delivery and related governance. - Implementing the Quality system in the project. - Coordinating customer-related activities, including the execution of deliverables. This job opportunity is located in Delhi/NCR and requires 8-10 years of PQE.,
