Team Manager - Legal

The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 8-10 years of private practice and/or in-house experience, specifically in leading/supporting high volumes of commercial contract reviews and negotiations. You should be prepared to consolidate and enhance your skills in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment. Your main responsibilities will include reviewing and drafting Engagement Letters, leading contract reviews and negotiations, and finalizing contracts for execution. You will also be tasked with ensuring that contractual terms align with Blackstone's legal and commercial positions, maintaining a centralized repository of precedent documents and templates, and completing accurate KYC reviews for potential counterparties. In terms of technical skills, you should possess a solid knowledge of commercial contracts, MSAs, SoWs, and the end-to-end contract lifecycle. You should be able to draft to a high standard in English, conduct negotiations over email and telephone, and quickly understand precedent documents. Additionally, you should be detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support decision-making and delivery discussions. On the functional side, excellent written and oral communication skills in English are essential. You should be highly organized, capable of prioritizing workflow, and proficient in using the MS Office Suite. Experience in delivery and related governance, implementing quality systems in projects, and coordinating customer-related activities will be beneficial for this role. Overall, you will be expected to work independently, engage with external counsel, Blackstone deal teams, Revantage, and portfolio companies, and be responsible for legal products. Your ability to understand must-have versus nice-to-have elements in a drafting context, as well as your proficiency in managing multiple priorities and adhering to timelines, will be key to your success in this position.,
