Team Lead/ Group Lead

POSITION DESCRIPTION

• Education

  :
• Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. A PG Diploma in Painting Technology is preferred.

• Experience

  :
• Diploma with 10+ years or Bachelors degree with 8+ years in handling paint and phosphating processes for multiple products in a high-complexity manufacturing environment, ideally for fabricated steel components in construction equipment or mining industries.

Skills and Competencies

• Technical Drawing Interpretation:

  Ability to interpret technical drawings, including surface preparation and paint finish requirements.

• Process Knowledge

  : Expertise in 2K painting systems, phosphating processes, and compliance with quality standards.

• Problem-Solving and RCCA:

  Proficiency in RCCA tools like 5-Why and 8D analysis to address quality and process issues.

• Safety and Compliance Knowledge:

  Strong understanding of hazardous waste management and safety protocols.

• Preventive Maintenance:

  Knowledge of topcoat, PT plant, press filters, 2K system, and electrostatic gun maintenance.

• Leadership and Training:

  Ability to train operators and lead a team effectively.

Nice-to-Haves

• Continuous Improvement Methodologies:

  Experience in implementing 5S and Kaizen projects.

• Budgeting and Cost Management:

  Understanding of cost management principles and budget adherence.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  Ability to work well with other departments such as Quality and Maintenance.

  Skills in managing improvement projects and coordinating across shifts.
