Job Description

As a Tax, Audit, Transfer Pricing, and General Accounting professional in Gurugram, your role will involve ensuring accurate and timely completion of tax returns and audits, providing guidance to the Finance team on tax matters, and overseeing various financial and compliance activities. Your responsibilities will include: - Preparation of monthly financial reports with interpretive comments and recommendations - Timely closure of audits for all group entities, including consolidated accounts - Ensuring compliance with accounting principles, IFRS, corporate finance policies, and internal control processes - Managing tax filings and assessments for direct and indirect taxes - Coordinating month-end and year-end closings and reviewing the accounting team's work - Reviewing tax schedules for audits, appearing in tax hearings, and managing tax, statutory, and other audits - Maintaining documentation and records related to tax filings and provisions - Collaborating with other departments to ensure alignment on tax matters - Developing and implementing tax planning strategies - Advising management on tax implications and monitoring changes in tax regulations - Representing the organization in tax audits and resolving tax-related issues - Managing annual returns as per prevailing Companies Act and reconciliation of IGAAP and UGAAP - Handling transfer pricing accounting and applicable laws for required returns - Coordinating with global corporate and tax accounting teams to meet timelines - Ensuring month-end, quarter, and year-end closings In addition to the above responsibilities, you should possess the following qualifications and specialized skills: Qualifications: - Chartered Accountant, B. Com/M. Com - 10 to 12 years of experience in tax, statutory audit, internal audit, IGAAP, UGAAP, and general accounting - In-depth knowledge of Company law and Taxation - Work experience with Global Business Shared Services Center (preferred) Specialized Skills: - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word - Advanced Excel skills, including macros and Power BI - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work effectively in a global team - Problem-solving abilities and in-depth knowledge of direct and indirect taxes - Familiarity with SAP R/3, S4 Hana, and audit tools like ACL - Best understanding of accounting principles (IGAAP and USGAAP) As part of your role, you may also be required to travel locally or internationally and must be able to sit for prolonged periods and work on a computer extensively. Your ability to communicate effectively, analyze situations, and implement solutions in a timely manner will be crucial for success in this hybrid work environment in Sector 43, Gurugram.
