Tax Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate, individual, and other tax returns (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
• Support the tax team in collecting and organizing financial data for audits and tax reporting.
• Maintain accurate records of tax filings, payments, and correspondence with tax authorities.
• Research tax laws, regulations, and updates to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Help prepare supporting documentation for tax audits and respond to tax authority queries.
• Process tax payments and monitor deadlines to avoid penalties.
• Perform reconciliations related to tax accounts (VAT, withholding, corporate income tax, etc.).
• Assist in preparing reports and summaries for management and external auditors.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure correct tax treatment of transactions.
• Handle general administrative duties within the finance/tax department.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance.
• [1–3] years of experience in accounting or tax-related roles (fresh graduates may be considered).
• Basic understanding of tax laws, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/tax software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero, or similar).
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with VAT, corporate tax, and payroll tax compliance.
• Familiarity with electronic tax filing systems and government tax portals.
• Pursuing or holding a certification such as CA, ACCA, or CMA is an advantage.

Pay: ₹8,633.81 - ₹21,830.21 per month
