Tableau Developer

As a skilled Tableau Developer, your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports to offer valuable insights to business stakeholders. You should have strong analytical abilities, a solid understanding of data visualization principles, and hands-on experience with Tableau and SQL. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and deploy Tableau dashboards and visualizations to support business decision-making. - Connect Tableau to various data sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. - Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and visualization solutions. - Optimize and maintain existing dashboards for performance and usability. - Implement data blending, calculations, filters, parameters, and level of detail (LOD) expressions. - Create and maintain data extracts, scheduled refreshes, and permissions within Tableau Server/Cloud. - Work closely with data engineers and analysts to ensure smooth ETL and data integration processes. - Provide training and support to end-users for Tableau dashboard usage. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field. - 2-5 years of experience as a Tableau Developer or BI Developer. - Strong proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud. - Advanced knowledge of SQL (joins, subqueries, CTEs, performance tuning, etc.). - Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Snowflake). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Python/R for data analysis or automation. - Knowledge of ETL tools (e.g., Alteryx, Talend, Informatica). - Exposure to cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google BigQuery). - Tableau certification (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist/Certified Associate) is an added advantage.
