Your Role Within The Team:
- Plan, design, and implement systems related to LRT operations, including signaling, communication, power supply, and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with project agreements, quality, safety, environmental standards, and applicable legislation.
- Prioritize and manage the design, manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning of systems.
- Work closely with engineering, operations, maintenance, and safety teams to ensure effective system integration.
- Coordinate with design teams for project handover from design to construction and from construction to testing and commissioning.
- Act as the primary contact for external stakeholders, including governmental agencies, contractors, and vendors.
- Manage the construction process to ensure infrastructure is built according to the schedule.
- Oversee the development and implementation of systems to optimize performance, safety, and passenger experience.
Skills and Experience:
- Essential - A Degree qualification with a minimum 8-10 year relevant working experience. A Master s degree will be preferred.
- Highly desirable - Professional development / Accreditation in the field of Systems Engineering.
- Highly desirable - Experience in Systems Engineering experience in a rail environment, specifically in North America/Canada region.
- Highly desirable - Experience in developing requirements in Doors Management.
- Highly desirable - Knowledge of Systems Integration Documents, Project. management practices, processes and principles, and experience of putting them into action.
- Highly Desirable - Experience of applying practically IEEE 15288 Systems and Software Engineering standards, INCOSE standards.
- Experience of multi-disciplinary technical environments.
- Excellent written, presentation and communication/briefing skills; able to present to audiences of peers.
- Excellent relationship skills; able to build trust and advocacy with others.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; able to engage staff and address issues effectively.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in systems engineering, preferably in rail or transit projects.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation in Canada.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of LRT systems, including signaling, communication, and power supply.
