System Analyst

You will be joining our Data team as a System Analyst at one of the leading banks in Kolkata. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define data transformation processes, and ensure that our data lake infrastructure supports the bank's analytical and reporting needs. To excel in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of the banking industry, data management, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions within a data lake environment. Your key responsibilities will include collaborating with various business stakeholders to gather and prioritize data and reporting requirements, acting as a liaison between business and technical teams, identifying and mapping relevant data sources, defining data structures, ensuring data quality, defining data transformations, supporting ETL processes, integrating the data lake with other banking systems, contributing to data governance and compliance efforts, managing change, providing training to business users, and maintaining thorough documentation. To qualify for this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field (Masters preferred) with 4-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in banking or financial services. You should have a strong understanding of banking operations, financial products, industry regulations, experience with data querying languages such as SQL, familiarity with ETL processes, data integration, and transformation tools, experience using BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication skills, and knowledge of data governance, data security, and compliance best practices.
