System Administrator

Role Overview: At Motorola Solutions, you will be part of a global community dedicated to enhancing safety worldwide. As a backup engineer, you will play a crucial role in defining, designing, and leading the operation of backup services and technologies across various global geographies within the company. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the availability of MSI Data protection, updating standards and procedures, and creating reliable, high availability, cost-effective, secured, and efficient systems for internal clients and applications. Key Responsibilities: - Manage a team of backup administrators and oversee global backup and recovery operations. - Serve as the subject matter expert for global backups and recovery environments. - Proactively identify and mitigate risks while capitalizing on opportunities. - Maintain project-oriented approach and focus on standards, architecture improvements, and cost analysis. - Advise on technology trends and standards. - Guide technical staff on assignments and drive projects and initiatives. - Provide expert support and analysis of complex problems, including 3rd level support. - Ensure operating standards and procedures are defined and adhered to by others. - Identify opportunities for infrastructure and process improvements. - Deliver technology evaluations and solution proposals. - Adaptable to other IT infrastructure tasks within defined infrastructure teams. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of experience in a high technical level position. - 2+ years of experience leading a global team of backup administrators. - In-depth understanding of commercial backup offerings from major vendors. - Strong written and verbal English communication skills. - Experience in creating processes and procedural documentation. - Exceptional problem-solving skills. - Flexibility in working hours within a global organization. - Experience in Multi-cloud environment backups.
