Job Title:

Salary – max 30% hike from last pay + other benefits.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented candidate for the role of Sustainability Officer to contribute to Muthoot Finance Ltd.’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) activities and reporting processes. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our ESG data, preparing comprehensive reports including BRSR Reports under SEBI Listing Regulations, and contributing to our overall sustainability initiatives. The candidate will also be responsible for planning and implementing ESG-related initiatives, including those aimed at reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and will play a key role in conducting climate scenario analysis to manage climate risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• ESG Initiatives:

Develop, plan, coordinate, and implement ESG-related initiatives, including strategies for mitigating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Advance GHG emissions related internal goals through collaborating with various departments.

Collaborate with the CSR team on projects focused on ESG, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).

Collaborate with the Learning and Development (L&D) team to implement internal ESG capacity building and awareness activities.

• ESG Data Collection & Sustainability Reporting:

Collect and manage GHG emissions data (Scope 1, 2 and 3) through our ESG data management systems.

Coordinate company-wide ESG data collection for reporting, and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and auditability of data.

Carry out value chain partner engagement efforts.

Prepare and publish BRSR reports (and any other Sustainability Reports), including obtaining third-party assurance and regulatory filings.

• Climate Risk:

Conducting climate risk assessment as mandated by RBI

Preparing for the RBI disclosures on climate-related financial risks.

Identify, evaluate and monitor climate-related risks and opportunities.

Assist in developing internal climate risk management systems and policy frameworks.

Conduct climate scenario analysis and prepare financial models for informing management decisions and meeting regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with global ESG reporting frameworks (e.g., BRSR, GRI), Scope 1, 2, 3 GHG emissions accounting and various Emission Factor (EF) Sources.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in report writing and stakeholder engagement. Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and maintain proper data documentation processes.
• Proficiency in ESG data management software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Experience with carrying out climate risk assessments, climate scenario analysis and financial modelling.
