Major Responsibilities Perform surveys, inspections of materials & equipment for ships and offshore units. Perform audits at the manufacturing sites. Generate comprehensive reports on survey/audit findings and issue certificates. Liaise with manufacturers regarding surveys & audits. Stay abreast of Bureau Veritas (BV) rules, industry developments, regulations, and best practices relevant to marine and offshore materials and equipment. Relative technical working instructions issued from Head Office Marine & Offshore Division, such as procedures, technical or local requirements are to be used as instruction. Refer to Bureau Veritas (BV) Rules, standards, regulations, specifications and relevant approved drawings as technical guidance to perform jobs. Ensures stamps, tools and notebooks are to be used in accordance with the provisions of working instruction. Report to the manager for any claim or complaint received from clients. Qualification And Experience Hold a BE or equivalent in Naval Architecture/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent certification 2-5 years experience. Experience in materials and equipment surveying within the maritime and offshore industry or foundry. In-depth knowledge of maritime regulations, classification society requirements, and industry best practices.. Previous experience with shipyard, marine & offshore projects or foundry will be considered as an advantage. Ability to acquire new skills/ knowledge. Have good communication skills in English, team spirit and ability to work with minimum supervision.
