Senior Consultant - Resource Geology

As a Senior Consultant in Resource Geology at WSP, you will be an essential part of the technical support, Mine Engineering, Stability, and Geology team based in Bengaluru/Noida & onsite, focusing on servicing the global mining business. Your role will involve conducting specialized analyses tailored to the demands of mining projects, contributing significantly to the success of mining initiatives through a client-centric approach. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assist with geotechnical characterization and assessments for underground, open-pit, and mine closure rock mechanics projects. - Plan geotechnical field data collection programs, including health and safety plans and utility locates. - Process and analyze geotechnical data in Excel and RocScience Dips, utilizing CAD-based software. - Prepare and work with 2D and 3D numerical models for stability analysis using RocScience software. - Conduct geotechnical data collection in the field, including core logging and surveying. - Provide guidance to onsite personnel during geotechnical data collection activities. - Participate in project lifecycle aspects such as proposal, contract, technical quality, and senior review. - Deliver technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions to clients meeting various requirements. - Perform statistical analyses, interpret data, identify and manage geotechnical hazards, and conduct stability analyses. - Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate geotechnical assessments within project objectives. - Utilize industry-leading geotechnical software tools for analyses and prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations. - Support business development activities by providing technical insights for proposals, client meetings, and presentations while upholding health, safety, and environmental standards. **Qualifications:** - Master's degree in Engineering Geology with a focus on Geotechnical Applications for Mining. - 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in consulting for Engineering Geology Applications in open-pit and underground mining.
