Job Purpose/ Summary

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of all electrical systems in the Sinter Plant. Will be responsible for shift activities. The engineer will ensure minimal downtime, maximum equipment reliability, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will be tasked with maintaining and improving the electrical systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory acts and laws, and implementing preventive maintenance measures. You will also be expected to have a deep understanding of the functional processes of the Sinter plant and the broader steel industry.

Principal Accountabilities

Oversee the electrical maintenance and engineering operations in the Sinter plant, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to prevent equipment failures and enhance plant efficiency.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory acts and laws, as well as internal safety standards.Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement process improvements.Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and maintenance practices and apply this knowledge to improve plant operations.Participate in safety audits and implement corrective actions as required.Provide technical guidance and support to the team, fostering a culture of people excellence.Demonstrate business and commercial acumen in decision-making, considering the financial and operational impacts.Foster a global mindset, understanding and considering the broader implications of local decisions on the global business.Display entrepreneurial spirit, identifying and pursuing opportunities for improvement and growth.
