Job Description

As a Support Engineer at Ericsson, you will be responsible for providing solutions to customer-reported problems in adherence to established processes and Service Level Agreements. Your role will involve utilizing your product/domain knowledge, familiarity with customer networks, and understanding of technology evolution to address customer concerns effectively. You will also be involved in handling additional services like Pre-emptive and Software Update management. Your day-to-day tasks will include handling and resolving customer issues, providing dedicated support, meeting customer expectations, managing Software Update Management, collaborating with internal stakeholders from a technical perspective, and working within a diverse team environment. Additionally, you will be expected to keep track of ongoing customer service requests, troubleshoot critical and emergency cases, interact with relevant stakeholders, and ensure timely responses to customer queries. In terms of customer-specific responsibilities, you will be required to maintain a good working relationship with customers and various working groups, participate in operational review meetings, understand the solutions deployed in customer networks, and interface with customers for planned activities. On the business front, you will provide technical support to the Service Delivery Manager, contribute to pre-sales engagement activities, ensure compliance with contractual obligations, meet KPIs as per SLAs, and identify additional sales opportunities. To excel in this role, you should exhibit behavioral competencies such as creating & innovating, entrepreneurial & commercial thinking, persuading & influencing, applying expertise & technology, analyzing, and delivering results & meeting customer expectations. Soft skills like presentation & communication skills, teamwork & collaboration skills, market insight, financial understanding, consultative selling skills, negotiation skills, and leadership skills will also be crucial. The ideal candidate for this position should have a BE/B Tech or equivalent degree with a minimum of 8+ years of experience. You should possess expertise in working in a virtual environment and have exposure to technologies like OpenStack, Kubernetes, Cloud Networking, Cloud Storage, REDHAT OpenStack, REDHAT OpenShift, CEPH, and other storage solutions. Proficiency in Cloud Core applications/environment, exceptional troubleshooting skills, and a strong technical acumen in dealing with complex customer issues are also essential requirements.
