Supply Chain Manager - HVDC

**Job Description:** **Role Overview:** As a Strategic Procurement Lead at Hitachi Energy, you will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives of Localisation, Tender capture strategy, and managing a team of procurement specialists. Your role will involve executing purchasing and logistics strategies to optimize costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products in alignment with Company and Supply Chain Management (SCM) instructions and procedures. **Key Responsibilities:** - Implement effective sourcing strategies aligned with business strategy and Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing (CIPS) strategy to ensure suppliers meet current and future business requirements. - Collaborate with proposal, project, and category teams to determine necessary items for procurement during projects. - Manage planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, and savings forecasts. - Oversee delivery processes to ensure cost, quality, and delivery time meet project expectations. - Leverage CIPS category teams to ensure appropriate supplier selection and establish local standard agreements with major suppliers. - Document general and special conditions for project purchase documents and procurement procedures. - Lead and develop the procurement team, ensuring proper organization, staffing, and skill development. - Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. **Qualifications Required:** - Proficiency in both spoken and written English language. - Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering. - 20 years of experience in SCM roles in energy or infrastructure projects. - Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. - Experience with HVAC/HVDC systems and EPC project environments. - Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP) and MS Office tools. **Note:** Hitachi Energy values safety and integrity, and expects employees to take responsibility for their actions while caring for colleagues and the business.Qualified individuals with disabilities requiring accessibility assistance can request accommodations during the job application process.,
