Supply Chain Manager

The company is looking for a strategic and results-oriented Sourcing Manager to lead procurement functions in the Kolkata region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and cost-effective supply of materials, driving supplier performance, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency. Managing key supplier relationships, supporting business growth, and ensuring supply chain operations meet high standards of quality and performance will be crucial for this role. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement strategic and tactical sourcing strategies for key material categories. - Identify and develop a network of reliable suppliers to ensure supply chain resilience. - Lead negotiation efforts with external vendors to secure advantageous terms. - Drive cost-saving initiatives through value analysis and alternate supply channels. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet procurement goals, project timelines, and service requirements. - Utilize data and metrics to drive supplier performance, track risks, and make informed decisions. - Champion continuous improvement and technology integration within the supply chain function. Required Qualifications: - 10-12 years of progressive experience in sourcing, procurement, or related supply chain management. - Associate Degree required; Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. - Experience in Manufacturing or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) industry highly desirable. Preferred Skills & Competencies: - High proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP MM, Oracle). - Professional certification such as Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or from the Association for Operations Management (APICS) is a plus. - Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier development, negotiation, and category management for indigenous and imported materials.
