As we establish our manufacturing centre in Hyderabad to drive our next phase of growth, we are seeking an Operations Head who pushes our drive for innovation, quality, and sustainability. This role is pivotal in our vision to build a world leader in heating & cooling solutions that will directly contribute to reducing 100MT of CO2 while being a multi billion dollar company over the next decade.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement & Vendor Management

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and sheet-metal components.
• Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery.
• Float RFQs, negotiate terms, finalize POs, and track procurement progress.
• Dealing with Overseas Vendor and finalize POs, Coordinate with them for delivery
• Ensure suppliers meet quality, compliance, and technical requirements for heat pump manufacturing.
• Work closely with engineering and production to source alternate vendors and improve BOM cost.

2. Material Planning & Inventory Control

• Prepare Procurement Planning based on production schedules and project timelines.
• Manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stockmaintain optimum levels for critical items (compressors, valves, copper tubes, DX coils, pumps, control panels etc.).
• Ensure accurate BOM mapping and version control for each project/product line.

3. Production & Project Coordination

• Coordinate with production, QA/QC, and engineering teams to ensure smooth manufacturing flow.
• Monitor work orders and ensure materials are available before assembly starts.
• Track project timelines and align supply chain activities with milestones (fabrication, assembly, testing, dispatch).
• Resolve material shortages, delay risks, or technical issues proactively.

4. Logistics & Dispatch Management

• Handle inbound and outbound logistics for raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished heat pump systems.
• Manage transportation planning, freight negotiation, and documentation for inter-state shipments.
• Ensure dispatch readiness aligned with project dates and customer requirements.
• Optimize packaging and handling for fabricated and refrigeration components.

5. Cost Control & Process Optimization

• Analyze material cost, supplier performance, and logistics spend to identify Cost reduction opportunities.
• Implement lean supply chain practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Support annual budgeting for materials and logistics.

6. Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure all supply chain activities follow safety, quality, and regulatory standards (BIS, CE, ISO, environmental norms).
• Maintain procurement records, vendor performance data, and project documentation.
• Ensure correct HS codes, e-way bills, and statutory compliance for all dispatches.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of

  HVAC/Refrigeration/Heat Pump components

  compressors, heat exchangers, valves, piping, control panels, refrigerants, fabrication parts, insulation, etc.
• Expertise in

  Procurement processes, supply chain planning

  , and vendor development.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and cost-management skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
• Experience in supply chain, procurement, or materials managementpreferably in

  HVAC, refrigeration, heat pump, or manufacturing industries

  .
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems, pressure parts, fabrication processes, and technical drawings is an added advantage.
