Key Responsibilities

Import & Export Operations

• Handle end-to-end

  import operations

  , including coordination with suppliers, freight forwarders, CHAs, and banks.
• Ensure complete compliance with

  DGFT

  ,

  Customs

  , and

  Shipping Line

  documentation and regulations.
• Monitor and manage entries in

  IDPMS (Import Data Processing and Monitoring System)

  .
• Ensure proper

  RFID tagging

  for container movement and integration with warehouse systems.
• Manage

  VGM (Verified Gross Mass)

  filing as per SOLAS requirements.
• Ensure timely submission and tracking of

  BRC (Bank Realisation Certificate)

  for export and import transactions.
• Prepare, maintain, and present

  MIS Reports

  related to imports, duty structure, shipment tracking, and vendor performance.

Procurement & Sourcing

• Identify and evaluate domestic and international vendors for sourcing raw materials, components, or services.
• Float RFQs/RFPs, obtain quotations, and perform cost analysis to finalize procurement.
• Negotiate commercial terms, payment conditions, and delivery timelines with vendors.
• Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up for timely order fulfillment.
• Maintain supplier database and evaluate vendor performance regularly.
• Ensure alignment of procurement activities with company budgets and lead time targets.

Coordination & Compliance

• Liaise with finance and accounts for advance payments, LC handling, and forex-related documentation.
• Coordinate with plant/warehouse for delivery planning and stock availability.
• Ensure procurement and import operations are in full compliance with company policies and statutory guidelines (DGFT, GST, FEMA, etc.).
• Maintain SOPs and suggest improvements for cost efficiency and process optimization.

Educational Qualification

• Graduate / Postgraduate in
