Role- Supplier Quality Engineer in Bangalore.
Qualifications:- B.E in Mechanical preferred- Experience: 4-6 years maximumPrimary Responsibilities:- Provide expertise in manufacturing processes for OEM fittings and assemblies, including welding of stainless steel and copper.- Work with suppliers to develop process of records (POR) and interface with design engineering to understand performance requirements.- Drive improvements in supplier quality, 8D, and POR to ensure product quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery. Continuously focus on process improvement and developing Best Known Methods.- Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to execute strategies and communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding strategy implementation.Mandatory Skills:- Working knowledge of various types of metal welding processes.- Basic understanding and interpretation of mechanical assembly drawings.- Strong ability to read mechanical drawings, specifications, and interpret BOM.- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility (GR&R, MSA), 5-Why, 6S/7W, t/F tests, box plots, 8D, and Ishikawa diagrams.- Experience in supplier process development, quality management, and handling suppliers from remote locations.- Proficient in structured problem-solving tools, including 8D problem solving, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA, and DOE.
