Supervisor - Housekeeping

Job Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping operations, ensuring cleanliness standards are met, staff are properly trained, and facilities are maintained in a safe, hygienic, and organized manner. The role includes supervising staff, inspecting work areas, managing supplies, and ensuring guest or occupant satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities Supervision & Leadership

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff
• Assign duties and schedules to ensure efficient operations
• Train new employees on cleaning procedures, safety standards, and equipment use
• Motivate staff and maintain a positive work environment

Quality Control

• Inspect rooms, restrooms, hallways, and public areas for cleanliness and order
• Ensure compliance with company policies, hygiene standards, and safety regulations
• Address and resolve cleanliness or maintenance issues promptly

Operations & Administration

• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department
• Prepare daily reports on staff performance and work completed
• Assist in planning workloads during peak periods

Health & Safety

• Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Enforce health, safety, and sanitation regulations
• Promote safe work practices among staff

Customer Service

• Respond to complaints or special requests professionally and promptly
• Ensure high standards of service and cleanliness are consistently met

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning services
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience is an advantage
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage time, staff, and resources effectively
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety standards

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
