Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Engineering (On-site, Full-time)

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Subject Matter Expert (SME) in [specific discipline – e.g., Electrical / Mechanical / Civil / Electronics and Communication Engineering] to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis.

The SME will play a key role in providing technical expertise, content development, and guidance for research, product design, academic projects, and training initiatives. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about engineering innovation, mentorship, and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority for subject-specific projects, providing expert insights and solutions.
• Develop, review, and validate technical content, including study materials, manuals, and documentation.
• Guide and mentor team members, students, or junior engineers in executing engineering projects.
• Support research and development (R&D) activities and contribute to innovation and design efforts.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables meet quality, compliance, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical problems.
• Participate in technical reviews, audits, and evaluations.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices within the engineering field.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations, workshops, and training sessions when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s / Master’s / Ph.D. in [specific engineering field – ECE, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Computer, etc.].
• 3–8 years of experience in engineering, R&D, teaching, or technical project execution.
• Proven expertise in one or more areas such as:
• Product Design & Development
• Research & Innovation
• Simulation / Modeling / Analysis
• IoT / AI / Automation Systems
• CAD / CAM / CAE Tools (depending on specialization)
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, standards, and technical documentation.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site, multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in technical writing, curriculum design, or academic project guidance.
• Familiarity with industry software tools (e.g., MATLAB, AutoCAD, ANSYS, SolidWorks, Proteus, or relevant domain tools).
• Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma).
• Prior experience as a Subject Matter Expert, R&D Engineer, or Technical Trainer is an advantage.
