Subject Matter Expert/ Financial Analyst

Business Analyst FA/SME

• Provide general support to the Financial Controller including the end-of-month accounting duties, preparation of monthly P&L, annual budgets, and operational KPIs reports
• Have oversight of the Accounts Receivable and Purchasing functions
• Be a financial advisor in the division, partnering and engaging with non-finance stakeholders in the areas of:

- Assist the Financial Controller in responding to finance-related queries from the business, including performance variances to budget, revenue and cost accruals, provisions
- Accounts Payable queries (e.g.: clarifying payment authority limits, expense account coding, purchase order queries)- Accounts Receivable queries and process structure (e.g.: invoice integration issues)

• Performing monthly Variance analysis (including commentary) compared to budgets / prior-periods and, further involvement in the Analytics of other Strategic decisions.
• Involvement in the preparation of P&L on monthly basis
• Monitor the data integration from Production Operational System (BCS) into Accounting system (Flex) and provide timely feedback to IT for the troubleshoot;
• Assist in preparing cost allocation journals and intercompany invoices
• Maintaining and developing new reports with support from BI
• Seek opportunities to automate tasks & processes
• Assist any ad hoc requests

Potential candidates should be able to demonstrate:

• Chartered Accountant or MBA qualified with at least 3-4 years experience in Accounting or FP&A domain.
• Analytical bent of mind and able to work remotely and unmonitored
• Exceptional attention to detail, and can take full ownership of deliverables
• Intermediate technical accounting skills, and able to utilise data modelling & visualisation tools
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• An outgoing approach and can do attitude
• Desirable advanced Microsoft Excel skills
