The essence of the role:

Billing Analyst As part of our continued growth, we are expanding our Finance Operations team in our Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bengaluru. We are looking for a Billing Analyst who will play a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant billing operations across global markets.

As a Billing Analyst, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end billing processes, ensuring accuracy in invoicing, resolving discrepancies, and supporting revenue recognition. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Customer Success, and Finance to ensure seamless billing operations and contribute to continuous process improvements.

Your responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute monthly billing cycles for global customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Validate billing data from multiple systems and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams to resolve billing issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Support revenue recognition processes in compliance with IFRS/GAAP standards.
  • Maintain and update billing documentation, SOPs, and process flows.
  • Analyse billing trends and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
  • Partner with IT and BI teams to enhance billing system capabilities and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
  • Contribute to transformation initiatives within the Finance Operations team.

Skills & Experience

  • 5-8 years of experience in billing, invoicing, or revenue operations, preferably in a shared service or GCC environment.
  • Strong understanding of billing systems, ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, Lookup functions and data analysis.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and revenue recognition standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in global billing operations and multi-currency invoicing is preferred.
