Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Study Abroad Counsellor specializing in education opportunities in Germany. Based in Gurugram, the Study Abroad Counsellor will assist students with admission processes, profile building, and career guidance tailored for German universities. Key responsibilities include conducting consultations, managing applications, guiding students through visa and documentation processes, and providing advice on studying and living in Germany. The counsellor will also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure students receive holistic support, as well as staying updated on policies and requirements for studying abroad.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in providing tailored career advice, admission guidance, and profile building for international higher education opportunities.
• Strong knowledge of Germany's education system, visa processes, and cultural nuances to guide students effectively.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and consultation skills to support students and collaborate with educational institutions.
• Problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail for managing documentation and application processes.
• Bachelor's degree (preferably in Education, Counseling, or related fields); prior experience in study abroad counseling or international education is a plus. Masters degree preferred.
• Proficiency in using digital platforms and tools for research, communication, and document management.
• Understanding of psychometric testing and career assessment is an advantage.
• Passion for education, professional ethics, and a student-first mindset.
