Job Description

Role Overview: As a Student Affairs Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring student-centered, effective, and efficient handling of all student requests for information and services. You will need to assess the urgency of requests and serve as the primary event planner for transitional ceremonies and events. Additionally, you will assist with student travel, office planning, and procedures, with the possibility of working some evenings during event season. Key Responsibilities: - Assure effective and efficient handling and triage of all student requests for information and services - Serve as the primary event planner for most transitional ceremonies and events - Assist with student travel, office planning, and procedures - Work some evenings during event season Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in event planning, higher education, communications, or a similar area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience - Experience managing and implementing large-scale events with over 700 guests in attendance - Demonstrated advanced clerical and organization skills, including the ability to conceptualize and implement improvements to operational systems - Effective verbal and written communication skills and exemplary attitude to provide excellent customer service - Experience in student services or medical education preferred - Experience managing budgets preferred Additional Details: The University of Toledo campuses are tobacco-free, and the Health Science Campus Medical Center requires candidates for employment to be nicotine-free.
