Job Description

Medical Laboratory Scientists, also known as Medical Technologists, play a crucial role in analyzing human blood, tissues, and body fluids. They are responsible for overseeing the performance of a wide variety of medical laboratory tests utilizing precision instruments and manual methods. This position requires exercising independent judgment, correlating test results, and interpreting findings in relation to normal or abnormal ranges. Physicians rely on Medical Laboratory Scientists to deliver accurate and valid results that aid in determining the presence, extent, and potential causes of diseases. Minimum qualifications for this role include MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) Certification, or an equivalent Scientist/Technologist level certification. Candidates must possess a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution. Additionally, individuals should demonstrate exceptional proficiency in the application of principles and analyses within Clinical Chemistry, Immunology, Blood Bank, Coagulation, Hematology, Clinical Microscopy, and Microbiology. A high level of professional competence, discretion, and judgment is also expected from candidates in this position.
