Role Overview:

Structural Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Structural Design & Analysis

• Perform detailed structural analysis and design of buildings, drainage structures, stormwater systems, and related civil infrastructure.
• Evaluate structural systems, material behavior, load responses, and environmental impacts.
• Prepare structural drawings, models, and design calculations in compliance with national and international standards.
  

2. Urban Drainage & Stormwater Management

• Develop designs for urban drainage networks and stormwater management systems.
• Contribute to integrated flood risk management planning and hydraulic assessments.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for drainage infrastructure.
  

3. Construction Supervision & Quality Assurance

• Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications, codes, and safety regulations.
• Identify and address structural weaknesses, material defects, or deviations from design during construction.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure quality and timely execution.
  

4. Multilateral Agency Project Coordination

• Work on projects funded by agencies such as the World Bank, ADB, or similar (preferred).
• Ensure compliance with donor guidelines, environmental safeguards, and reporting standards.
  

5. Compliance & Documentation

• Prepare technical reports, design documentation, BOQs, and construction checklists.
• Ensure all structural designs meet relevant BIS, IRC, IS codes, and applicable safety regulations.
• Provide engineering support during audits, inspections, and project reviews.
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Structural Engineering

  from a recognized institution.

Minimum Experience & Expertise:

• Minimum

  5 years of experience

  in structural engineering, urban drainage planning, stormwater system design, and flood risk management.
• Experience in at least

  one multilateral funding agency project

  (World Bank, ADB, etc.) preferred.
• Strong understanding of

  structural systems, material behavior, and load responses

  under various conditions.
• Proven ability to identify design deviations, material deficiencies, and other potential structural issues during construction.
• Experience ensuring construction compliance with

  design plans, codes, and safety regulations

  .
• Prior work experience in

  Maharashtra

  is preferred.
