Stress Testing Analyst

Role Overview: As a valuable member of the Investment Bank OBI team at Barclays Stress Testing and Impairments CoE in Chennai, your primary responsibility will involve coordinating and consolidating data and analysis for Planning and Stress Testing. The data you work with plays a crucial role in internal reporting for senior management and external disclosures. To excel in this role, you should possess a keen eye for detail to understand IB revenues/RWAs intricacies and be able to identify variances by questioning data. A solid understanding of the investment banking business is essential for engaging in productive discussions with stakeholders. Additionally, having a basic grasp of RWAs and KPIs will be beneficial. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, ability to derive insights and strategies independently, strong analytical, and interpersonal skills are highly valued for this position. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement stress testing methodologies, analyze results to identify vulnerabilities, assess capital adequacy, and recommend risk mitigation strategies. - Manage the bank's financial risks by formulating risk management strategies, communicating financial risks to relevant stakeholders, and assessing the bank's capital position. - Orchestrate process cycles for the Planning and Stress Testing FTC, oversee the delivery of the Planning Process and stress tests. - Document requirements set by the Regulator, track progress through various channels, ensure data quality, and dataflows from contributors. - Manage BAU systems to facilitate quick outcomes, enhance capital or funding plans generation, and drive process reengineering initiatives. - Ensure control environment standards are met, partner with BIA for controls and governance objectives, and provide ongoing governance support. Qualifications Required: - Keen eye for detail with the ability to comprehend intricacies of IB revenues/RWAs and identify variances. - Solid understanding of the investment banking business and ability to engage in productive discussions with stakeholders. - Basic grasp of RWAs and KPIs. - Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. - Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
