Strategy Consultant - Construction

As a Consultant at Outsized, you will be supporting a high-impact construction project for our client, a global consulting firm, based in Mumbai on a 12-month contract. You will play a crucial role in overseeing project execution, ensuring timely delivery, monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules, and collaborating with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project operations. Your key responsibilities will include implementing best practices in project controls, reporting, and quality assurance, conducting periodic site visits to assess progress and compliance with project plans, managing project documentation, and providing analytical insights and actionable recommendations to support decision-making. To excel in this role, you should have 3-5 years of experience in the construction industry with a focus on project management, PMC, or project controls. You should have a strong background in monitoring project execution, tracking KPIs, and managing stakeholders, along with experience working with leading construction firms in large-scale infrastructure or commercial projects. Proficiency in project planning tools such as Primavera or MS Project, as well as strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required, with an MBA or PMP certification being preferred. Key Performance Indicators for this role include on-time project delivery within defined scope and budget, effective risk mitigation and issue resolution, compliance with quality and safety standards, timely and accurate project reporting, and stakeholder alignment and smooth coordination across teams.
