Role & responsibilities

BMTC DEPOT EV OPS-BENGALURU

• Oversee complete inventory of spare parts, tyres, batteries, lubricants, tools, and consumables for vehicles and workshop.
• Maintain accurate records of receipts, issues, stock levels, GRN, and stock registers in system/Excel/ERP./SAP
• Plan and execute regular stock audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation; prevent stock variance, damage, and pilferage.
• Monitor consumption trends and define minimum/maximum stock levels for fast- and slowmoving items.
• Coordinate with vendors for purchase orders, quotations, delivery followup, and rate negotiations as per company policy.
• Ensure timely availability of critical parts to support vehicle maintenance, breakdown repairs, and scheduled services.
• Implement proper storage methods (labelling, binning, FIFO/FEFO) and ensure cleanliness and safety in the store area.
• Maintain tools and equipment register; track issue/return of tools and ensure they are in good working condition.
• Coordinate closely with workshop/transport team to plan parts requirement based on service schedules and fleet utilisation.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS on stock position, fast-moving parts, nonmoving/slowmoving stock, and scrap.
• Monitor and control inventory cost; support management in reducing cost per vehicle/km through better planning.
• Supervise store staff, plan duty rosters, monitor attendance and performance, and provide onthejob training.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, documentation, audit requirements, and statutory norms related to storage and safety.
• Handle scrap identification and disposal process with proper approvals and documentation.
