HIRING FOR STORE KEEPER FMCG COMPANY

Position Summary

The Store Keeper is responsible for the efficient management of construction materials, tools, equipment, and consumables at the project site. This includes receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and maintaining accurate records of all materials to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

1. Material Receipt & Inspection

• Receive materials, tools, and equipment delivered to the project site.
• Check the quantity and quality of materials against delivery notes, purchase orders, and inspection reports.
• Report discrepancies or damaged items to Procurement and the Project Engineer.

2. Material Storage & Handling

• Ensure that materials are stored properly following safety, manufacturer, and project guidelines.
• Categorize and arrange materials for easy identification and retrieval

3. Material Issuance

• Issue materials to site supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors based on approved Material Requisition Forms.
• Track daily issues and ensure proper documentation.
• Prevent misuse, loss, or theft of materials.

4. Inventory Control

• Maintain up-to-date stock registers (manual or ERP software).
• Conduct regular physical stock checks and reconcile differences.
• Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels; raise purchase requests when required.

5. Documentation Responsibilities

• Prepare and update DMR, GRN in ERP/software.
• Verify supplier invoices by matching them with the Purchase Order (PO), Delivery Challan, and Material Inspection Report (MIR).Report any shortage, excess quantity, damage, or rate mismatch to the HO.
• Support the Billing team by providing material consumption reports and reconciliation data.
• Maintain complete documentation for scrap materials, including weight, rate, issue/return details, and support during scrap billing.
• Ensure that all material-related documents are properly filed, organized, and easily accessible for audit purposes.

• Some experience in store / inventory / warehouse operations, especially in FMCG or related industries.
• Basic computer skills: ability to use inventory / stock software or MS Excel.
• Knowledge of stock control procedures, understanding of FIFO / proper storage etc.
• Good organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to count & reconcile stock.
• Sometimes leadership or the ability to supervise helpers / store staff.
