Interpret and translate mall design guidelines and requirements to the internal design team, ensuring all company store designs comply with mall specifications.
Present our companys store designs and concepts to mall design review committees, addressing feedback and securing necessary approvals.
Facilitate effective communication channels to resolve design conflicts or discrepancies promptly.

Project Management & Execution:

Oversee the entire design approval lifecycle, from initial submission to final sign-off, ensuring all documentation is complete and submitted on time.
Collaborate closely with the internal design team to ensure designs are buildable, cost-effective, and meet operational needs within a mall context.
Manage and review the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for all store fit-out projects, ensuring accuracy, cost-efficiency, and adherence to design specifications.
Work directly with appointed contractors, providing clear design instructions, monitoring progress, and ensuring construction aligns with approved designs and quality standards.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor design implementation and address any on-site design-related challenges.

Stakeholder Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with mall management, design consultants, architects, and contractors.
Ensure all stakeholders are aligned on project goals, timelines, and design expectations.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design submissions, approvals, BOQs, change orders, and communication logs.
Provide regular updates and reports on design progress, potential issues, and budget implications to senior management.

Problem Solving:

Proactively identify potential design or construction issues that could impact project timelines or budgets and propose effective solutions.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelors degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in project management, design management, or construction management, specifically with a focus on retail fit-outs.
Proven track record of successfully building and opening stores within shopping malls is essential.
Demonstrable experience in liaising with mall authorities and navigating their design approval processes.
Strong experience in reviewing and managing Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and contractor coordination.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other relevant design software.
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and retail design principles.

Soft Skills:

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
