Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting functions for a USA based company. This role will contribute to the accuracy and integrity of financial data through general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and support during the monthly close process. The Staff Accountant will work closely with the broader finance team to ensure high standards of compliance and efficiency.

Must have own laptop, internet connection and willing to work USA shift hours.

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger records.

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures.

• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

• Support preparation of financial reports and schedules.

• Assist in fixed asset accounting, accruals, and prepaid expense tracking.

• Help ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and support ad hoc reporting needs.

• 1–3 years of accounting experience.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Progress toward CPA certification is a plus.
