Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Supply Chain Engineer with expertise in electronics sourcing,
Vendor management and regulatory compliance. This role is responsible for ensuring that
All products, components, and suppliers meet global regulatory, safety, and certification requirements
standards, while managing sourcing and supply chain operations for high-volume electronics
production.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Certification (Primary Focus)
Determine applicable regulations, standards, and safety requirements for new and
existing products (RoHS, REACH, WEEE, CE, FCC, BIS, etc).
Prepare and maintain complete compliance documentation, including certification files,
test reports, and regulatory submissions.
Monitor and assess impact of new regulations on products and suppliers, and develop
strategies to maintain compliance.
Conduct product and process audits to identify gaps, implement corrective actions, and
prevent compliance issues.
Collaborate with engineering, design, and operations teams to embed compliance
requirements early in product lifecycle.
Coordinate with third-party labs, consultants, and certification agencies for testing,
validation, and regulatory approvals.
Manage product lifecycle compliance, including PCN/EOL processes, obsolescence
planning, and technical change control.
Quality & Risk Management
Conduct supplier evaluations and audits to ensure adherence to quality and regulatory
standards.
Resolve compliance-related issues, analyze risks, and implement preventive measures.
Maintain and enhance processes for supplier onboarding, documentation, and reporting.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with Engineering, Operations, and Product teams to align supply chain
activities with regulatory and business requirements.
Act as a point of contact for compliance-related queries from internal stakeholders and
external partners.
Sourcing & Vendor Management
Source electronic components, PCBA, and assemblies globally by evaluating and
onboarding suppliers, identifying alternatives for supply continuity, and negotiating
contracts, pricing, and terms in line with procurement policies.
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Electronics/Engineering or related field; Master s or MBA preferred.
3+ years of experience in electronics sourcing/SCM with significant compliance and
certification exposure.
Strong knowledge of global regulations, product safety standards, and certification
requirements.
Hands-on experience with PCBA fabrication, EMS/ODM ecosystems, and supplier
evaluation.
Experience with BOM management platforms (Altium 365, SiliconExpert, SourceEngine,
etc) is a plus.
Strong analytical, organizational, and cross-functional communication skills.
Key Competencies
Deep understanding of compliance, certification, and regulatory frameworks in
electronics.
Ability to proactively identify compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.
Detail-oriented, process-driven, and capable of handling multiple compliance projects
simultaneously.
Skilled in supplier management, negotiation, and risk mitigation.
