This role reports to the Associate Director - Programmatic . 3 Best Things About the Job Transform digital media buying : You'll be at the forefront of shifting the agency's digital media buying from manual insertion orders to a data- and technology-driven approach, which will generate higher ROI for clients and improve revenue and margin. Lead the programmatic revolution : The world is moving toward programmatic, and you'll be in charge of driving this change for the largest media agency in India. You'll work with all major publishers, vendors, and start-ups, disrupting traditional business methods. Drive efficiency at scale : You'll work with cross-functional teams to automate processes and improve efficiency across the business. Measures of Success In 3 months: You will have a complete understanding of the programmatic setup across the business. You will build a roadmap for growing the programmatic buying business . In 6 months: You will participate in business proposals , leading the programmatic elements and supporting group pitches. You will ensure our operations are coordinated and integrated with the wider business. You will identify new business prospects and help grow revenue for existing clients. In 12 months: You will establish yourself as a thought leader with a deep awareness of programmatic platforms and industry trends. You will secure at least one key strategic win by bringing the programmatic buying business for a key client in-house. What Your Day Job Looks Like at GroupM Build strong relationships with your counterparts in GroupM's regional teams. Lead the training and growth of your local programmatic team . Enforce DV360 and TrueView best practices , focusing on platform expertise, consistency, and quality of work. Be accountable for consistent work delivery to GroupM regional teams by ensuring a high quality of output. Serve as a point of escalation for your team, taking ownership of resolving challenges. Provide career development and coaching for your team. Line manage 2-5 direct reports and as many as 10 indirect reports. Provide timely and actionable feedback to aid in your team's development. Provide support in capacity planning and resource management for the team. Present strong and effective communication across all levels. What You'll Bring Working experience in an agency, trading desk, or programmatic tech partner. Hands-on campaign execution experience with most of the local programmatic players and measurement providers. Familiarity with DSP and exchange revenue streams , with the ability to negotiate trading benefits. Existing relationships with publishers , programmatic product partners, and data providers in the local market. Knowledge of different programmatic trading models and their implications for both advertisers and publishers. Ability to articulate difficult technical concepts to non-technical people , such as explaining lookalike modeling and cookie mapping. Minimum Qualifications 2 years of professional experience in digital media, preferably within a media agency or trading desk. Experience with the Google Marketing Platform (DV360, CM, GA360). Experience in top AdTech and MarTech platforms . Experience in creating client decks, programmatic strategy, and new pitches . Hands-on experience and knowledge of programmatic platforms . A clear thought process and strategy for building on existing businesses. Competence in all Microsoft Office software .
