About the Role

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE-1) with a specialization in storage technologies to join our infrastructure team in Hyderabad. This is a key role focused on building and maintaining robust, scalable, and high-performing storage systems within Kubernetes environments. The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive, and experienced in managing Rook-Ceph and MinIO deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and operate Kubernetes clusters, with a strong focus on storage infrastructure.

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Rook-Ceph and MinIO in production environments.

• Monitor and troubleshoot storage-related performance issues and infrastructure outages.

• Automate operational tasks using Python, Shell scripting, Ansible, or Groovy.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver highly available and resilient storage solutions.

• Ensure data durability, availability, and integrity through proactive monitoring and alerting.

• Participate in incident response and contribute to root cause analysis for storage and infrastructure issues.

• Maintain clear documentation of systems, procedures, and processes.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience managing Kubernetes in production environments.

• Hands-on expertise with Rook-Ceph and MinIO.

• Proficiency in scripting and automation with Python, Shell, Groovy, and Ansible.

• Solid understanding of storage concepts (block, object, file systems).

• Familiarity with DevOps tools and monitoring stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• CKS (Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist) and/or Ceph certification.

• Experience with Big Data systems (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.

• Understanding of performance tuning for storage backends.
