Job Description

About Position:

We are looking for an experienced SRE Project Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead the initiatives to enhance the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud-native infrastructure across AWS and GCP. As a senior technical leader, you will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define infrastructure requirements, implement GitOps-driven CI/CD pipelines, and manage Kubernetes clusters. You’ll be responsible for driving operational excellence through automation, observability, incident response, and service level objectives (SLOs). This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll guide the team in adopting best practices, improving system resilience, and ensuring seamless deployment and monitoring of our services.

What You'll Do:

Collaborate with software engineering teams to define infrastructure and deployment requirements.
Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure on AWS and GCP using Terraform.
Develop and manage Kubernetes clusters and GitOps-based CI/CD pipelines.
Lead automation and observability initiatives, including monitoring, logging, tracing, and metrics.
Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations, respond to production incidents, conduct postmortems, and continuously improve incident response processes.
Create and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of cloud infrastructure.
Establish and drive service performance through SLOs, SLAs, and proactive alert management.
Contribute to on-call documentation and incident response playbooks.
Promote development best practices such as continuous integration/deployment and peer code reviews.
Actively seek opportunities for mentorship and continuous learning within the team.

Expertise You'll Bring:

7+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining SaaS environments.
5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS and GCP infrastructure using Terraform.
Proven expertise in Kubernetes cluster management and GitOps workflows.
Strong background in observability tools and practices (monitoring, logging, tracing, metrics).
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Go (Golang), Bash, or PowerShell, and AWS CLI.
Experience in implementing security operations including encryption, key management, and security policies.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong customer orientation, attention to detail, and a bias for ownership and action.
Ability to work well under pressure and solve problems collaboratively.
