SRE Lead

As a Site Reliability Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading the site reliability engineering team and ensuring the smooth functioning of the team. Your key responsibilities will include designing schedules and shift plans, managing tickets, and assigning tasks to team members. You will collaborate effectively with peers and management to maintain transparent communication with customers. Providing guidance and support to team members will be crucial in this role. In addition, you will be accountable for recording and monitoring team SLAs and workflows while ensuring that monitoring systems and procedures align with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and security policies. Your expertise will be instrumental in implementing metrics-driven processes to uphold service quality standards. To excel in this position, you should possess knowledge of monitoring tools such as Zabbix and Nagios, as well as experience with ticketing systems like Zoho Desk and JIRA. Strong problem-solving abilities, especially in investigating recurring issues, will be essential. Hands-on experience with Linux fundamentals, system administration, scripting, and performance tuning is required. An understanding of cloud environments like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, along with basic knowledge of networking, routing, and switching, will be beneficial. The ideal candidate for this role should have 5-7 years of experience in L2 monitoring and a proven track record in managing and optimizing site reliability engineering processes.
