SRE Lead

As a Site Reliability Engineering Team Leader, your role will involve leading the team responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the site operations. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading the Site reliability engineering team to ensure smooth operations - Creating schedules and shift plans for the team to ensure 24/7 coverage - Managing tickets and allocating tasks to team members effectively - Collaborating with peers and management to achieve operational goals - Maintaining transparent communication with customers to address their concerns - Providing guidance and support to team members for their professional growth - Recording and tracking team SLAs and workflows for performance monitoring - Ensuring that monitoring systems and procedures adhere to industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and security policies - Implementing metrics-driven processes to maintain high service quality standards To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills: - Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Nagios, etc - Experience with ticketing systems like Zoho Desk, JIRA, etc - Strong problem-solving skills, especially in analyzing recurring issues - Hands-on experience with Linux fundamentals, system administration, scripting, and performance tuning - Ability to think under pressure and resolve issues efficiently - Basic understanding of cloud environments like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc - Familiarity with networking, routing, and switching concepts - Effective communication and documentation skills This position requires a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in L2 monitoring.
